    Default Summary Dissolution information

If you meet certain conditions, you may qualify for a "summary dissolution" which is much easier than a full-blown divorce action. You may qualify for a summary dissolution if: 1) you have no children together; 2) you have been married five years or less 3) you don't own very much (less than $36,000 in community property) 4) you don't owe very much ($6,000 or less in community debt, excluding vehicles) 5) no one wants spousal support; and (6) you have no disagreements about how personal propery or debts are going to be divided up.

You can download the official Summary Dissolution Information packet here which is current as of April 15, 2009 (is unlikely to be revised until January 1, 2010 if at all).

Typically, how long does it take for the summary judgment to be finalized after all of the paperwork is filled out?
