Thread: 15 year old doesn't want to visit father

Hi, I have a 15 year old daughter who no longer wants to visit her dad. He moved to Arizona and has a new wife and 3 kids. My daughter sleeps on the sofa when she visits and ends up babysitting. She misses dance classes and social interaction with friends. She has no friends there. Her dad called her the other day and was yelling at the top of his lungs about how dance classes are stupid and he thinks she's dumb for going to them. Dance is more than likely going to help my daughter get into college - very important to her.

She's supposed to visit him this weekend. What if she refuses to get on the airplane? That's what she's threatening.

I don't think she can be stopped unless you get a lawyer and she tells them, then you can have legal documentation saying she doesn't have to go
